Mr. Ruebsahm has been President and
CEO of Armko Industries, Inc., since its inception
in January of 1983. He received an MBA degree in
1972 with concentration in management, marketing,
and finance.
Prior to starting his own company, Mr. Ruebsahm
was employed with ATI, from 1972 – 1982, where
he was involved in the diagnosis of roof issues
on all types of buildings and their surfaces.
He has continued to coordinate and design roofing
programs for several state entities of Texas as
well as municipalities and private industries. He
has also directed the training of countless employees
of other companies and public entities in becoming
knowledgeable about roofs, their problems, and the
best long-range maintenance procedures.
He has given numerous lectures and seminars on roofing
to organizations such as Texas Association of Hospital
Engineers, Building Owners and Managers Association
and different state agencies of Texas.
Mr. Ruebsahm is constantly being consulted on various
articles by trade magazines and has written a chapter
on the Design, Function and Maintenance of the Built-up
Roof System for the Building Owners and Managers

Registered Roof Consultant (RRC). Recognizing the
need for qualifications and standards in an unregulated
industry, Roof Consultants Institute (RCI) developed
the RRC program whereby roof consultants can establish
their credentials. The RRC title represents a high
level of competence, experience, and ethics, as
well as a commitment to continuing education. A
Registered Roof Consultant must have demonstrated
certain minimum requirements regarding education,
personal work experience, character, and ethics.
Affiliate member of RICOWI (Roofing Industry Committee
on Weather Issues). RICOWI is a not-for-profit corporation
established for the purpose of education and research.
Affiliate members include educational and testing
facilities, academia and others involved in the
science of roofing.
Team member of RICOWI Wind Event Investigation Team.
The goal of this program is to determine and generate
reports that will document roofing systems that
fail or survive major wind-storm events that will
provide educational materials for roofing professionals
to design wind resistant roofing systems. The data
will be used to improve building codes, roof systems,
building design, and educate the industry and public.
Lectured extensively to Contractor, Architectural,
School Administrator, Plant Engineering and Facility
Director groups, as well as to Purchasing Agent
and Risk Management groups, sharing lessons learned
from numerous moisture intrusion roof investigations.
